Happy New Year...

I've had such fun this year since setting up lemonade kitty, I love reading all your lovely blogs, what you're making, places you're visiting, taking part in swaps and the general goings on in your busy lives. I've made so many new friends, thank you to each and every one of you for reading my blog and for all the lovely comments you leave for me.

These three little "sausages" are now fast asleep in bed after being sat in front of the fire this afternoon.

Baby dog isn't happy unless she's asleep on top of mammy dog and daddy dog!

Or just sitting on daddy dog

Mammy dog does't look very happy!

So, with a glass of champagne in my hand I wish you all a very happy new year, and hope to see you all in 2010,  lots of love Lucey xx

Out with the old and in with the new.

Did Santa call???

I must have been a very good girl this year as Santa left me a sackfull of present's,

If only I had some Jimmy Choos to remove!!

Mam got me this memo board, I'll be able to pin all my "snippets" to it, but....do I put it up now or keep it for the new house? decisions eh.

And nestled in the toe of my stocking was this adorable "Seal" it was love at first sight.

Julie's cat Rosie got this lovely jingly bell collar and was the star of the day, isn't she gorgeous?

I hope Santa was good to you too.

Lots of love Lucey xx

Christmas Eve...

We're all wrapped in a blanket of snow this night before Christmas.

It's inches deep and showing no sign of thawing, goody,  snow on Christmas day!! This was taken yesterday in the Park when we went to play snowballs.

"The stockings are hung"

"The candles are lit"

and our horse and carriage is clip clopping off to Church, I wish!

There's a glass of sherry and a slice of Christmas cake for Santa and a big bunch of carrots for the hungry reindeer.

Then I'm off to bed to read "The night before Christmas"  story...magical.

And finally, when all the children  are tucked up in bed, the clocks stop ticking and Santa delivers His presents to all the boys and girls all  over the world.

Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night.

It's Christmas day in the morning.

X MERRY CHRISTMAS  X

Christmas Cabin...

It's just a few days  shy of Christmas and I feel I'm "nearly there", I just have the cake to ice, the presents are all wrapped they just need the ribbons on and I've decorated Christmas Cabin.....want a peek?

We go through the gate and down the path...

I've put some lanterns out on the deck...

and this sparkly wreath on the door, come inside out of the cold.

The fire is on and it's nice and warm, can you smell the Christmas spice in the air?

"The stockings are hung"

I've decorated the tree and put real candles on it, the reindeers sit quietly on the rug and all the tea lights are lit and it's all sooo cosy.

The shelves are decorated with jingly bells, decorated cookies, little Christmas carol books and...

this party of carollers singing "Jingle bells, jingle bells jingle all the way".

"Ho  ho  ho"

Those reindeers are everywhere!!!

Ready to go outside???

There's no nut's left in this feeder only a dusting of snow

We're inside the house now, I do love this picture of York , the street is full of snow. I made the little bags at the back out of my sister's tablecloth and filled them with Christmas spice and added ribbons and buttons.

A plate of oranges studded with cloves

There's lots of mice in the tree in Christmas Cabin and these are what was left...if you look closely you'll see someone has taken a bite out of one!!!

My mam's been collecting these snowmen for years and she now has 48!

They come in all shapes and sizes and here are a few of my favourites.

When you press the snowmans hand music plays and they both "do a jig"

We're all off ice skating tomorrow we won't need to imagine snow this year as everywhere's covered in it, all white sparkly and magical ...Let it snow ...Let it snow....Let it snow.....Bye love Lucey xx

Parcels...

I had three  lovely parcels delivered to me this week, the first was a huge box of goodies from Italy.

All beautifully wrapped,

And sent to me by Michela of   little secrets from my garden  inside were a tin of biscuits , some tins of delicious sweets and some lovely rose scented toiletries.

Thank you Michela.

The second parcel of goodies was from Twiggypeasticks,  I've put the robin on top of my tree, there was a lovely brooch and some cute tiny postcards, thanks Sarah.

My next parcel was from e bay, two brilliant books, well loved carols and ...

things to make, one of my favourite books when I was little and at Christmas I always made a snowman with my sister. You got a jam jar and sat a potato in the top for the head then covered the whole lot in cotton wool!!!

We also used to make a log like this one, my Dad used to drill a hole in the top of a log and We'd decorated it with a candle and cotton wool for snow. I don't know if cotton wool still comes on a roll or is it just cotton wool balls nowadays,???  It was all Blue Peter type stuff.

Mr Lucey saw this in a shop near his works and thought I'd like it, a christmas pud, a stand, a jug with a bottle of brandy and some brandy butter for only £16...I love it. I've put some oranges with cloves on the plate 'till the pudding goes on it.

I  was quite excited to get the tree up on Wednesday with all the new baubles I've bought this year.

Then disaster struck!!! I dropped a book on this and of course it broke, weep weep,  but I did  manage to buy a replacement yippee.

A sweetie cottage

A bag of toys

and a big clock face so we know when its time for Santa to call.  Before I forget "Happy birthday Mr Lucey xx"  Tomorrow we're going out for the day with Alexa... Bye for now  love Lucey xx.
